If you have a charge on your statement from ChargedContribution, it is because you elected to support or purchase something online from a conservative group or candidate that uses our system. Q: Will ChargedContribution work with my existing web site?
A: Absolutely. ChargedContribution is operated on a specialized secure server; you simply need to place a link on your site to your customized donation page to start raising money.
Q: What fees do I have to pay?
A: We charge only $50 to set up your donation page, and the cost is only $40 per month plus 7% of the amount you raise to administer your account and pay the credit card companies. That’s it! No hidden fees, no need to have an expensive merchant account, no credit card percentage or per-transaction fees, and you’ll get a check every two weeks. (You will, however, be responsible for any credit card charge-back fees that might result if a donor gives online and then later changes his or her mind.) Best of all, there are no long-term contracts—you are always free to cancel ChargedContribution with just 30 days notice.
Q: What if I already have my own merchant account?
A: ChargedContribution can be implemented with your own Internet merchant account, and we recommend this set-up if you need funds processed more rapidly than every two weeks. Pricing for merchant accounts is only $50 for set-up, plus $40 per month and a 4% transaction fee. If you have your own merchant account, you will be responsible for Internet gateway set-up and monthly fees, as well as all credit card per-transaction fees (.25 per transaction) and discount rates (between 2.5-4% depending on the credit card). We can also help you establish your own Internet merchant account.
